The free antivirus software is good for cleaning your computer and removing all spyware, viruses, etc. After your computer is clean, it is very important to protect it from further infection. The free software gives you a certain amount of real-time protection. The paid Pro versions give your computer a much higher level of protection, blocking threats before they can get into your PC or laptop. We do recommend that you upgrade your software to the paid versions. Most of the paid versions are not very expensive - average cost is only about $3.00 - $4.00 a month.
We only recommend three of the free antivirus programs, because these three are the best. If you want to use free software that we don't recommend, no problem, you can always come back to this website later and clean all the viruses from your computer.
(1) Avast - You can get the free version if you go up to the products tab, "Desktop Protection" then "Home Edition".
(3) PC Tools Antivirus - For the free version, go to the "Home" tab, then the "PC Tools Antivirus" tab.
There are a lot of antispyware programs, but these are the most effective at spyware, adware, and malware removal. Please remember, most of them don't provide maximum real-time protection, only the paid versions do that.
